The annual Citizen Advocacy picnic was held in the beautiful Botanic Park last weekend. Those who attended enjoyed good company, great food, a hilarious game of "Celebrity Heads" and a stunning walk through the Botanic Gardens later in the day. Thank you to all who came along and made it so special.
Citizen Advocacy SA is pleased to announce that through the generous support of many good hearted people, we have reached our Crowd Funding target of $3,000. A huge THANK YOU to all who contributed.
55 days ago, Citizen Advocacy SA launched it's first ever crowd funding project - an attempt to raise $3,000 towards the production of a short, 3 minute promotional film that would help us in becoming less dependant on government funding to do our work.
By using a professionally made movie to tell the stories of the relationships we support, we would have a powerful tool to help us approach large businesses and philanthropic organisations in the ongoing search for independent financial support.
In the current economic and political climate, this issue is becoming increasingly important if Citizen Advocacy SA is to continue it's work of supporting some of our community's most vulnerable people into the future.
As of today, we have 5 days left to reach our target of $3,000. We have already had some generous support but currently, the pledged total is well short of what we need. And with crowd funding, if the pledges that are made don't reach the target in the specified time, NO donations are collected.
So please, everyone who knows of Citizen Advocacy and supports it's work, go to the Pozible website at:
...And make a pledge.
Together, with each of us contributing a little, we can achieve a LOT!
Anyone donating $50 or more will receive a $20 voucher for a treatment at Boost Physiotherapy.
All donations are welcome.
And if you know of a business or an individual who may be interested in helping out, please forward this email to them with your personal recommendation. There is plenty more information at the Pozible website about our project if you need it - It is called "Imagine Something Extraordinary".
Thank you for your support.
Citizen Advocacy SA's annual picnic will be held on Saturday, April 12th at the Botanic Park, opposite the main entrance to the Botanic Gardens (Friends Gates).
